Many of us have a habit of eating curd with salt or sugar. Ayurveda experts say that this habit is dangerous as addition of salt or sugar turns the curd into poison, let’s find out what is the truth of this claim.
Recently there has been a buzz that if you want to eat curd, you should always eat it with jaggery.
When yogurt is viewed under a microscope, numerous bacteria can be seen moving around in it. These bacteria must enter our body in a living state, because when we eat yogurt, the enzyme process in us goes smoothly.
We eat yogurt for these bacteria. In Ayurvedic terms curd is considered to be the home of bacteria, in one cup of curd you will find crores of bacteria. Adding a pinch of salt or sugar to curd kills all the bacteria within a minute and their dead bodies go into our body which is of no use to us. Adding a pinch of salt or sugar to curd destroys all the antibacterial properties of curd because the chemicals in salt are enemies of bacteria. Ayurveda says that things should be added to curd, which increases the number of bacteria in it.
